Dr. Devorha Anderson was born Devorha Lennetta McGhaney to Clarence Sr. and Kathaleen McGhaney in Sumter, South Carolina, and is the second oldest of eight children. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to New York City, where she was raised and subsequently began a promising career in education.
Dr. Dee earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Lehman College and a Master’s Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Hunter College. After receiving her Master’s Degree, Devorha obtained her Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. A few years later, Devorha decided to pursue her Doctoral Degree. In 2015, she received her Doctorate in Theology from North Carolina College of Theology.
Dr. Dee understands the value of education and has witnessed its influence in the lives of the many children she has taught as an educator for more than 26 years. As a spirit-filled believer for over 40 years, Dr. Dee has also witnessed the power of God to transform lives and propel persons into their purpose. In 2015, God called her to marry her education with faith, releasing her inaugural book, A Child’s Path – Preparing Your Child for Purpose. This book marks the beginning of a new chapter in Devorha’s journey. She’s excited to see how God will use her and this work to bless both parents and children.
Dr. Dee currently resides in Metro Atlanta and is blessed with two beautiful daughters: Joyce and Jenteel.
